Integrating Buffalo Network Storage as server expansion (iSCSI) storage to your customer's existing server infrastructure is a simple, secure and cost-effective solution.
Many modern businesses find themselves scrutinizing storage options in order to handle the increasing amounts of data generated and transferred in a typical business day. When installing storage, small businesses often choose to deploy network-attached storage (NAS): a single file-level storage device that serves files over the network. However, when businesses expand, they often run issues with scale and performance with disparate NAS devices. More users accessing the same server means it might not be able to keep up.
The open secret of enhancing business storage at a lower cost is to create a storage area network (SAN) utilizing Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI). Buffalo's NAS servers offer the ability to configure iSCSI targets, allowing them to be integrated into a virtualized system for cost-effective storage.
Business adoption of server virtualization stands at 92% and will grow to 97% within the next two years*. Expanding storage volumes for virtualized host servers is easily achieved by attaching Buffalo NAS as an iSCSI target.
Buffalo NAS delivers a high-performance, secure, scalable solution that allows users to reserve high-availability/higher cost per terabyte production storage for essential business applications. Implementing Buffalo as an iSCSI expansion target residing outside the HCI stack is a proven strategy to affordably manage backup and archival storage to meet organizational retention policies.
The global video surveillance storage market is projected to reach USD 33.65 billion by 2026*. Video backup files are growing exponentially, causing retention mandates to increase. Adding Buffalo NAS as an iSCSI target grows the host server storage securely and affordably while preserving host server storage for essential business applications.
