Integrate Azure Storage Sync With Your TeraStation


Applies to TS5010 and TS3010 Series Firmware Version 4.12 or later.

1.    In the Microsoft Azure Portal, navigate to Storage accounts > your account > Containers

2.    Click the Add Container at the right.
 
Enter your desired Container name and select the Public access level. Click OK to create the container.

3.    A storage container will be created, it will be used as an Azure sync target of TeraStation.

4.    Logon to the TeraStation's WEBUI and switch to the Web Services tab.
 
Toggle the Microsoft Azure Storage Sync switch icon to enable the feature. Then click on the icon at the right to manage the Azure job list.

5.    At the Microsoft Azure Storage Sync Job List, click "Add" to create a new Sync job.


6.    To link the Azure Storage account, enter your Azure Storage Account Name and it's Access Key.
 
You can find the Access Key in your Azure portal.

7.    Enter a Name for this new sync job and click Next.

8.    Select the Sync direction for this job. For example we will choose Backup (TeraStation to Azure Storage)

9.    From the Backup Source Folder drop-down, select the backup source share folder of TeraStation.
 
Then enter the Container name which you created on Azure Storage to be the backup target.

10.    Select the Interval time between each Backup sync.
 
When all queues are finished for this job, the job will wait for the specified interval.

11.    Select the action to take when source file was deleted from the backup source folder.

12.    Configure Filters for the files that do not need to be backed up.
 
 
13.    Confirm job settings. Click OK to create the job and start syncing.
 

14.    Azure Storage Sync has been configured successfully. The sync process will start immediately.
